From clinical care to healthcare operations

I started my career as a clinical audiologist. I loved the variety which patient interactions bought and playing a key part in improving my patient’s quality of life. I then found myself working on the operations side of audiology and quickly realised the satisfaction that comes from improving processes for patient experience and supporting a team to consistently provide gold standard care alongside fostering their own professional growth. I came to Tāmaki with the same intention excited to dive into the world of primary healthcare.

In the short time I have been at Tāmaki what has been abundantly clear at all layers of the business is the drive for continuous improvement and a steadfast focus on patient care and services. This extends to the care and support from colleagues, with experts always nearby more than willing to share their insight and experience.

What I enjoy most

He tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata. From the patients we serve every day, the clinic teams who go above and beyond to serve their populations and the team in the background that keep everything moving smoothly, the alignment and the care of the Tāmaki team is very special.
